Good afternoon Rio Verde,

Today the agronomy team completed a renovation on the practice green behind the 18th green on Quail Run along with the chipping green on the driving range.  Due to a tough transition on the practice green we decided to go ahead and resod the green and expand it back to its original size.  When we started the green was about 2,250 square feet and once completed is now over 4,500 square feet!  This doubled the size of that practice green, which will make for a better practice experience.  We also added 1,000 square feet of green space to the chipping green on the driving range.  I am excited about the expansion and the amount of putting areas we were able to add to those greens.

The transition on White Wing has been improving.  Again, June is a tough month for growing grass in Arizona.  It is too hot for the ryegrass that we seeded in October, and typically too dry for the Bermuda to fill in.  As the humidity continues to rise and the monsoons continue to build, we will see a steady increase in the quality of the golf courses.  That being said I am happy with where we are in the transition this early in the summer and believe things will improve nicely for a good end of the summer.  Have a great weekend.

Thank you,

Dan Cutler
Director of Agronomy
